KONSTANTINOS MARKAKIS

Founder and CEO

Konstantinos Markakis was born in Rethymnon, Crete in 1958. He studied at the University of Italy “University of Palermo” in the Faculty of Agriculture. For about 30 years he worked in the Ministry of Rural Development and Food in the Department of Plant Protection Products in the position of Pesticides policy planning. In particular, he represented Greece in the sessions of the Standing Committee on Plant Protection Products (SCoPAFF). He has excellent knowledge of English and Italian.

MARIKA MARKAKI

Partner

Marika Markaki was born in Athens in 2000. She studied at the Hungarian University “Eötvös Loránd University” in the Faculty of Psychology. She joined MEDPEST IKE in 2023 taking over the position of partner. Apart from the Greek language, she has excellent knowledge of English and has lived for 5 years abroad.

The Company

Founded in 2015 by Konstantinos Markakis and changed its legal status in 2023. The company is based in Athens and provides consulting support for placing on the market plant protection products, biocides and fertilizers throughout the European Union, Southeast Europe and North Africa.
